Overall, my husband and I had a really great stay at this property for our weekend trip to Vegas to see Celine Dion. The location is obviously convenient for the show since it's in the building but it is very central on the strip as well which is great. We also love how big the property is meaning a huge casino and lots of dining/shopping options.
We were staying in the Laurel Collection and I'd gotten an email to check in before we arrived which we decided to do. When we arrived at 10:30 AM on Friday we checked in at the self check in kiosk and paid an extra $30 to get an email when our room is ready instead of coming back at 4 PM. The $30 kind of irked me but we got an email at 1 PM saying it was ready so it was worth having the notification. However when we arrived the kiosk said the room wasn't ready. We waited 15 minutes in the desk check in line and were then told someone had gotten our room before us. I was about to put on my "let me speak to the manager" hat when the woman at check in said she would give us a better room higher up in the building. Now that's service!
The room was very large for what I've stayed in while visiting Vegas and the view was spectacular. We could see the fountain show at the Bellagio and down the strip since we were in the Augustus tower. This tower is also right next to the lobby so you won't have to walk very far. I had some little issues with the room like the fact there were no bath robes, one of the sconces in the bathroom didn't have its shade so it was just a light bulb, the internet connection was super slow on my data plan and wifi, and the shower doors didn't keep water in the shower when fully closed which made the bathroom extremely slippery. Despite all this I think the location of the property and all its amenities make up for any of these negatives.
