It's no five-star resort, but it's good for the price. I try to avoid staying at place with resort fees just because I don't agree with the idea (how can a company justify advertising a completely different price than the room actually costs?), so I appreciate that this is one of the few hotels in Vegas without them. The woman at the check-in counter was very friendly and helpful (around 9pm on 9/13). The room was clean and I like that there is a connected movie theater. I have had terrible WiFi at every hotel I've stayed at in Vegas - even 4-5 star locations on the strip. The WiFi here was fast (9 Mbps) and completely free. I work from my computer so that's pretty important to me.
There are some downsides - but that's to be expected in this price range. The location isn't the best, you'll need a car to go anywhere. The room was very dark. When I first walked in and turned on the lights I assumed a bulb must be out, but looking around that was the only ceiling light in the room. It gets a little better when you turn on the desk and nightstand lights, but it's still dark. The window is eye level with a busy parking lot so I don't even want to open the shades for natural light in the morning. My biggest problem was their advertised "Fitness Center". It was a single treadmill and elliptical machine. I ended up paying for a day pass to a gym which negates anything saved by booking here. I don't need much - just a few dumbbells would be enough to get a basic workout in. I won't stay here again just for that reason - but I know for many people that wouldn't be an issue.
