  • This is one of my favourite places to get work done--quality drinks and good Wi-Fi. The coffee is good, made from fresh, locally-roasted beans. Phoenix's lattes are excellent. The brewed coffee is solid, though not on par with Rising Star or Pour--you won't find an Aeropress or vac pot option here. But that's to be expected, this is a place more focused on offering a place to sit for a while and chat or study than strictly on artisan coffee. On that note, this Phoenix location has a great atmosphere, with a nice combination of counter seats, small tables, and a large shared table. Wi-Fi is free (password required) and stays reasonably speedy even when the place is full. Phoenix has some limited food options. Bagels are decent, but the locally-produced hemp snack bars are a must-try. They also have a decent selection of tea, both hot and iced, including some less common options like an iced yerba mate. The biggest problem is that seating is often limited, particularly on weekends when it seems pretty much every Case student is camped out with their MacBook and a pile of textbooks.
