  • Checked In late on a Friday 5/10/13. I was given a room on the first floor. I kindly asked if there were any other rooms and without checking I was told no. I was given room 6110 and the lady that checked me in looked like work was the last place she wanted to be at the time. She had a bad attitude. I did not feel welcome at all. Boooooo. Once we got to the room we realized that it was a smoking room but I had reserved a non smoking room. It was already late so we just dealt with it. The next morning I went to the lobby to ask for a different room because of the smell of smoke in our room. The lady at the front desk immediately checked and switched our rooms. Her customer service was outstanding I believe her name was Olivia. I almost gave GVR 2 stars but the customer service on Saturday convinced me to up it to a 3. Overall the hotel and casino were nice. A bit smoky. There were a lot of clearly intoxicated/rowdy patrons on Friday night but on Saturday evening it was a whole different crowd. Much more relaxed.
