Innis Town Hall is one of the city's hidden gems. The cinema which normally serves as the hub of the cinema studies program at the University of Toronto, also hosts a nearly inexhaustible list of screenings, festivals and special events. From screening classics such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid to future cult phenomena (Napoleon Dynamite was screened here prior to general release). From hosting student run short film fests to Hot Docs to live awards nights, you will find a vibrant community of some of Toronto's most creative minds gather here every week. Nearly all events are free and you're allowed to bring your own snacks to many screenings.
Overall, this is as good as it gets for the cinemaphiles in Toronto. Grab some popcorn and join the gang!
