| - My wife and I were very excited about the opportunity to take advantage of the introductory offer at Massage Matters. In fact, we were so excited, that we booked two, simultaneous, 90 minute massages, 18 days before our appointment so as to take advantage of a cancellation on the 31st of December. My wife's health plan is good right up until the end of the year after which we lose the benefit. On the day before the appointment, I called to confirm that everything was still on and was told that there was no problem and they were looking forward to seeing us. An hour later, we got a call telling us that the therapist we were scheduled to have was sick and as a result we could no longer get the two 90 minute appointments, our appointments would not be simultaneous and it would be two men instead of a man and woman as we'd requested (my wife is not comfortable with getting a massage from a man). In any case, being it's the end of the year and our options are limited, we were quite upset that they hadn't had a fallback option in place or were willing to offer some kind of compensation. To echo another reviewer, the woman who called me (presumably the same receptionist he dealt with) was not at all willing to find another option that would keep us happy. I guess, in this case anyway, Massage 'in fact, doesn't' Matter, at least to them! Please consider our story when booking with them, I really felt we weren't valued customers and there's a good chance you won't be either.
