  • Leaf and Bean is this little gem hidden away on an off street in Pittsburgh's Strip District. On my last trip to Pittsburgh I wanted to go here but I ran out of time but on this trip I had the time and I stopped in. Wow! What a happenin place! Lots of people everywhere, everyone was enjoying coffee, cigars or soul food and they were all very friendly!This place is like a little run down island shop (which is awesome to me). I ordered a double shot and I talked with one of the employees for a bit about the details of Leaf and Bean. After talking with him I sat down with some of the locals at their table. There was a soul food buffet going on and the locals that I was sitting with let me try some of the food which was excellent! I will definitely be back here! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is either a coffee drinker or cigar smoker. I will say that the soul food buffet does not go on everyday to my knowledge, but if you are interested in it (which you should be) I would find out when it goes on!
