I attended the Friday night Chef's dinner last night. Each trip features a different local chef and menu. Chef Jeff Jarrett (Amp 150, Sterles, and Hub 55) made a delicious 5 course meal including appetizer skewers, roasted red pepper bisque, beet and goat cheese salad, short ribs with braised mustard greens, potatoes and for dessert panna cotta. Definitely did not leave hungry! I really liked that the chef came out between courses to talk about what he prepared.
I would definitely recommend these dinner events to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, etc. or for a special romantic date. Not only do you get a 2 hour scenic train ride, you get a delicious meal served with wine.
Lastly, the volunteers really work hard to make sure you have a great time. They are a very friendly and knowledgeable group.
