  • It's really sad to give this place a 1 star. If I could give a zero, I would. After my bad experience here. I was invited back, they took care of appetizer and dessert. Dinner was perfect, everything taste like how it should be. I was introduced to their special cake. Loved it to where I placed two orders of their red velvet for Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas dinner. Thanksgiving dinner was great. Our friends who joined us for dinner loved the cake. Then Christmas dinner, I placed another order. It's a $60 plus tip, it's not a cheap cake. It was completely different from the one I ordered 4 weeks before. I was told the pastry chef isn't in town, but they will see if they can make it for me. I was completely fine with, "Sorry, we can't make it." I received a cake that looked nothing like the cake before, I was still hoping it will taste the same. Well, surprise! The cake mix wasn't even blended well, there were gray chucks there out the cake. The inside of the cake wasn't even. There was zero coconut flakes. This was a very, very embarrassing cake to serve to my mother-in-law and my husband's family who all flew in from Paris the day before. We were telling everyone how good this cake was. I think you can imagine how disappointed I was. I was so embarrassed and ended up baking cookies for them. I bought back more than half of the cake to this place for a refund. I got my refund. I want nothing to do with this place for sure. It's really sad that the consistency of this place for us is zero star to 5 stars. Even if consistency was a 3 stars, it would be much better than being super happy and then feeling like you've been robbed. I posted here the cake I received before and the last one I got. If you do end getting a cake, I would suggest making sure the pastry chef made it and open the box before leaving the restaurant to save yourself from complete embarrassment from your guests.
