  • I recently visited the Westin at Lake Las Vegas and I was extremely excited to be able to try the spa facility as part of our resort fee. That excitement was quickly taken away due to the staff at the spa. My husband and I checked into the hotel at about 3:30pm and the front desk agent let us know that the spa closed at 5pm. I figured that would be plenty of time to relax a little before dinner. Before walking in, I could see a staff member that was so bored that she was unscrewing shampoo bottles and smelling the product. So when I walked in, I let her know I was wanting to check in to use the spa facility since I was a hotel guest. Without putting down the product, she told me that I could check in at the desk. I go up to the receptionist (I didn't see her name tag but younger girl with dark hair and glasses) and let her know I was checking in to use the facility. She seemed a little confused at first so she asked me what I wanted to use. I let her know that I wanted to use the jacuzzis, steam room, etc. She let me know that they were closing at 4:30pm that day. I replied back just saying "oh ok, I was notified that it was 5pm for closing. Since it is only 4pm now, I would like to use the facility for a short amount of time". The response back was awful. She replied, and I quote, "well you can't use the facility because we've already put everything away and we're about to leave". I just thought to myself, you just told me you were closing in 30 minutes, now you're suddenly about to leave? I knew there was no point in arguing anymore with her so I just left. I work in the hotel industry and I use to work in the spa industry for 8 years, how the receptionist handled the conversation was completely unprofessional. She could have made up some random reason as to why I couldn't use the spa and I would have believed it if it was delivered in a professional manner. I will be happy to return to the Westin but I won't set foot again in Spa Moulay, horrible first impression.
