NIM is a food delivery service in Toronto. You pay up front, go on-line, pick your menu items, and everything gets delivered to your front door in a smart-looking cooler bag. All the food is labelled with the ingredients and the calorie content.
I have now been ordering from NIM for almost two weeks. I didn't do this because I want to lose weight (although the calorie count is very helpful) but because I simply don't have the time right now to grocery shop and cook. Eating out every day was expensive, so I did the 10-day trial with NIM. Half-way through the trial I ordered a full month of deliveries. I'm hooked!! The food is delicious, more so than I expected. I am eating fresh vegetables and fruit again, and healthy portions of meat. I'm very impressed with the choice of meals, and the stellar customer service.
For about $35/day I get three meals, two snacks and a dessert. If you eat fresh food that is prepared well by a good chef and a nutritionist, it will fill you up. I am on the 1200 calorie plan and do not feel hungry at all.
Sure - there are probably cheaper similar services out there, but I did some research and NIM was by far the best value for money. I'm thrilled.
