  • I came here for a business trip with the missus. Ever go somewhere think it's great then get your happiness dashed when things get worse? Started with Ms. Happy at check-in, who however turned the page when we were polite and upgraded us to a bigger suite. We get there, door is screwed up, call help desk "we'll send someone up" I know that tone, it's a "we're not going to send anyone up, Im feeling lazy and I hate my job". Then for my job, I need to have a direct cat5 connection can't use wifi for security reasons, cat5 doesn't work, they don't have an IT department, instead they use a cable provider who knows nothing about the equipment, finally after a 2nd call to desk about the stuck door, this time we get someone to come up. The engineer helps me, great guy, we find a work around however I determine it's an unsecure network so I can't use it. I go down to the useless Business Center where miss lazy pants who gave me mixed feelings, lazy but big huge beautiful eyes, like a Japanese Magna cartoon, didn't know anything other than the rates ($100 an hour). Basically if you're a business person, you shouldn't go to this hotel. Plusses, the slots are loose. Sensing I was having a bad day, I was worried about losing my job because I couldn't do my job, she fixed my collar, I was a hairy mess walking through the hotel like Hunter S. Thomson, she gave me a drink, that alone gives this hotel a star. The museum that is spread around the hotel is great, and the pool is perfect, it looks dirty because of the reflection, I took a brief swim...don't, it smells like armpits, just keep your head above water. Ok correction, pool AREA is perfect, you can lay back in their very comfortable chairs and snooze and take an occasional dip or hang in the over 21 place and scream stupid things like "I am soooo drunk, omg omg, I'm an animal yes, hear me scream arrrrgh arrrrrgh!" Meanwhile those of us who can handle a drink, with a more mature mind that comes with age will be elsewhere. Last sting and final fu to me was the last day where before we checked out, went down to the store by the elevators and picked up 1 package of little donuts (they're sold everywhere), and one package of coffee cake, and a soda. It came out to $9.50 She charged $3.50 for the drink of which I can get upstairs for $2.50. They have "free shuttle" service which is only every hour, but here's a tip, you don't even have to go on the dreaded traffic heavy Las Vegas Strip... go out of the garage, take a right, take another right go down harmon? Anyway just park in Palazzo and have fun, screw the shuttle.
