  • The 2016 National Day 25 Review Challenge. Review 6/25 Happy National Pretzel Day! This year I am up for a personal challenge of celebrating 25 of the 365 National Days off the National Day Calendar (Link: http://www.nationaldaycalendar.com/). Today I am going to review the Miracle Mile Auntie Anne's. A bigger challenge than the National Day Challenge is reviewing a Pretzel shop. However an experience is an experience worth sharing. I have learned from experiences that sometimes in life it's the simple things that matter. Take for example, a couple of weeks ago during my family stay cation on the Las Vegas Strip when we were up for a late night snack that was light. Haplessly we were spending a good amount of time by the Miracle Mile Shops. Inside the Miracle Mile Shops is one of the 1,600 locations of Auntie Anne's. We'd stop by to pick up pretzels. At the time of our visits to Auntie Anne's they offered a free pretzel when you brought three. The only dilemma was that they ran out of pretzels for the night. On the first visit the young lady working there substituted pretzel bites for the complimentary pretzel. Auntie Anne's is a take out stand attached to a yogurt shop. The two times that we stopped at Auntie Anne's for a night snack during the stay cation, we'd carry the pretzels to the benches by the fountain show; a prime spot for people watching. As far as pretzels Auntie Anne's serves a good product. Then again it is nearly impossible to mess up a pretzel. The best way to describe the Auntie Anne's pretzel is by comparing it to the McDonald's hot pretzel, which I had earlier today. Where the McDonald's pretzel is greasy requiring a pile of napkins, this one was so clean that there would be zero worries over eating the pretzel while touching the screen on my smart phone. Additionally, the temperature was the way I prefer my pretzel: warm. This was later in the evening. I can imagine it being really warm when it comes out of the oven. This was a light snack that was filling and easy to eat. The Auntie Annie's pretzel was also bigger and skinnier than McDonald's. The picture below shows the size of the Auntie Anne's pretzel. Being that I was on the Las Vegas Strip on vacation, and drinking a beer is par for the course; the pretzel went along good with a 24 ounce can of Bud Ice that I picked up at the next store ABC store. In reality, a pretzel goes good with any drink. In conclusion I recommend Auntie Anne's for a light snack if you are in the vicinity of the Miracle Mile Shops. Please keep in mind that if you are visiting on April 26, you might want to download their app for a complimentary pretzel (please check out the link below).
