  • My husband and I ate here this evening. We had a living social 3 course meal voucher that we had purchased a couple months ago. The voucher expired tomorrow so EVERYONE there had a voucher and they were busy! I dont think they were prepared for the mad rush to use the vouchers before they expired. The wait staff were friendly but they could not keep up and the service lacked. We were never offered drink refills. Even the water wasnt refilled. The food was so so. I have had MUCH better cuban food. Mimita's in Chandler is wonderful and so much better. The 3 course meal included a small plate of appetizers. We got Ropa Vieja and Bistec Encebollado as main courses and two orders of flan for desert. The flan was cut in 1/2, they tried to make it last obviously. We heard them tell another table that came in after us that they ran out of regular flan and asked if coconut flan would be ok instead. So why were we not offered something different in a regular portion size, rather than cut it in 1/2 which was very obvious that they did to make due. We did dine here once before a few months back and I wasnt overly impressed but when I saw the living social deal, I thought we could give it another try. Definitely not a place I would go back to.
