| - Newest spot just opened up right in the heart of Water St.! Downtown Henderson has a Coffee Bar! Public Works Coffee Bar! So hey before work; coffee, then after work, we wine! Genius!!
What's To Love:
-They're open bright n early 6am
-Good drink options for those like me who limit caffeine intake
-There's something for breakfast both sweet & savory
-There's something for lunch, easy to take n go.
-Pet friendly, patio in front, they give out doggie treats too.
-Prices they charge are fair. Discount to COH employees,
-Cool place to just chill out.
..and that's what I've been doing lately, meeting up with friends who live or work in the area.
Marino, Logan and crew are ever so hospitable especially when my good friend and I lingered around in their community conference room for like three hours ( sorry!!..I blame Sam, she talks more than I do!)
Drinks: Turmeric Chai Latte. Been on that turmeric kick lately for it's anti inflam benefits, so glad someone has it on their drink menu. Need xtra kick get it w/espresso add shot (dirty chai) and xtra pump of ginger. That's all Ive tried so far. Next I want to try maybe a tea, flavored with rose. Ive got a thing for floral notes too. Drinks so far made to my liking!!
Awesome how they get their coffee, food and beverages from local resources. Beans from Mothership,(my favorite!!!), beer from Lovelady, food from Mad Batter Cafe (..two thumbs up for watermelon feta salad..) and pastries from both Mad Batter and Chef Flemings(..Cinnamon rolls!..) Local pride right there!
Oh I need to mention how beautiful their space is!! New 2 story building. Orange and black. Kinda goes with those pesky orange cones that dot downtown lately (lol)..but here they make it work with a modern industrial interior. Fitting for Water St and it's industrial history I think.
Love the open feel and use of space, floor to ceiling windows surrounding the shop, different seating options, ie lounge chairs in the corner, table and chairs, and the counter/stools. The community conference room has plugs for your computers, and a large screen TV. Perfect for meetings, studying or get together with larger groups. I would make reservations in those cases though. We hid out there when it wasnt in use.
Parking is no problem. They have their own lot, plus 12min parking limit in front. It's walking distance to city offices, the Event Plaza, and cute shops (check out Purple Monkey!)
Love the sense of community pride they're bringing here and excited for downtown Henderson! Another local destination to add to my list!
