So, I spent my Friday afternoon replacing my driver's license because someone had helped themselves to the contents of my wallet over my lunch time. :(
This experience at the DMV office at Central and Baseline was actually pretty painless overall. The place was PACKED when I got there but I got in and out in under an hour. The process seems fairly efficient and folks were in an overall good humor
What surprised me the most was how kind, patient, and pleasant the employees were. I got a smile and condolences from each one I talked to. I did quite a bit of people-watching while there and saw the same behavior being exhibited toward other patrons as well. I was really struck by it...So much so that I will be reaching out to their leadership to let them know :)
