  • I am only giving this two stars because of the quality of the food I ordered. I was just at the pharmacy next door, so I thought I would check out Rambo's and get some take out lunch before heading back to work. The interior is great, lots of cool 60s stuff on the walls and tables, nostalgia everywhere, great music. It's brightly decorated and just a happy place overall. I was pleasantly greeted by a very nice waitress. She was very chatty and polite, very professional. She said breakfast was served all day (I should have ordered a breakfast burrito) but I wasn't in a breakfast mood. I am a vegetarian and I was surprised to find there were meat free items on the menu, so I chose a cold veggie wrap. It came with a choice of two veggies and cheese, so I picked red and green bell peppers and provolone cheese, and hand cut fries. The order was ready in no time, and I brought the food home, and cut the wrap in half. Right away I noticed how empty it was. I expected it to be stuffed with sliced peppers and maybe some lettuce or anything... but it was just filled with diced loose red and bell peppers, and one measly slice of provolone. I am posting two photos to this page to illustrate. The white tortilla was plain and super burrito size, but the whole thing had no flavor. I guess I should not have ordered peppers - had I known they were tiny diced peppers I would have ordered a different vegetable. No side dressing, nothing. I was very disappointed. I could have made a way better wrap myself. Lesson learned to not order a veggie wrap at Rambo's - if you want a really good veggie wrap go to Aces Bar and Grill on El Capitan. The wrap came with a side and I selected hand cut fries. They were just OK, no real flavor, not much of a seasoning. Just fries. They weren't soggy though. Since I did like the atmosphere and the service, I will consider giving this place another chance some other time. Maybe I will try ordering something from their breakfast menu to see if the food is any better the second time. But don't order the veggie wrap unless you like a dry, tasteless waste of $9.33. Did I really pay that much? :-(
