  • Let me start by saying that my visit to CPR in the Arboretum began a very long day of running around Charlotte in an effort to get my phone fixed. I have an iPhone 6, and it stopped charging/working about a week before I went in. They may be the go to for phone screens, but other than that, I do not recommend them. I had emailed the store earlier in the week, asking for a quote on replacing what I believed to be a damaged charging port. They quoted me $89 if it was the charging port, but only $75 if, on their analysis of the phone, they found and fixed what was wrong with it. Awesome! I couldn't afford a new iPhone for the off-warranty price of $350, which I was sure the Apple store would try to sell me, so I went for it. After driving an hour from Shelby, I found the location quite easily, and parking wasn't terrible. I went inside, and there was no one at the front desk, no bell to ring, no way to alert someone that you'd come in. I work in customer service (McDonald's), so I'm pretty chill about waiting for a bit. When someone did come to help us, they seemed quite receptive as I explained the situation. According to the woman who helped me, they would need two hours to perform a "diagnostics test," which seemed a bit excessive, but as I know next to nothing about phones, I went with it. After all, South Park Mall is a short drive from here, and as I rarely go into Charlotte and came with some friends, it was no big deal. About two and a half hours later, I get a call back saying that the diagnostics test showed that it was the charging port, as I expected. However, they didn't have the part and needed to order it, which would take 3-5 days. I really wanted my phone to be fixed that day, so I called the CPR in Myers Park, who did have the part. I went and picked up my phone from the Arboretum -- they didn't make me pay for the diagnostics test, which was a plus I appreciated -- and went there. It was while I was at Myers Park that I became very unimpressed with the Arboretum location. They quoted me forty dollars less at Myers Park for the charging port, which turned out to be useless, as it turned out to be some sort of chip in the phone that couldn't be fixed by any CPR location. I ended up just getting my phone replaced at the Apple store ---- for $79 bucks! Long story short, I wouldn't recommend going to this location. They don't really seem to care much, and it seems like they take extra time just to tell you the wrong thing that's wrong with your phone. If I could do it all over again, I would have started with the Apple store or the Meyers Park location.
