| - Last time I had a recall notice for my van, I brought it into Auto Nation Honda to get serviced. After the huge hassle of bringing it in and waiting for a couple hours, they told me they didn't have the parts needed and I had to bring it in again a week later. It was such a huge waste of time, that when I recently got another recall notice, I explained what had happened last time and asked the service coordinator to verify that they had the necessary parts in stock before making my appointment. He "checked," then told me that they showed that they had plenty of the parts in stock needed to fix my van. When I dropped it off (again, a huge hassle waiting for them to get to me, then waiting for a shuttle for a ride home) I received a call two hours later informing me not only do they not have any of the parts in stock, one is on back order and they have no idea when it will come in. So then I had to wait for the shuttle to come pick me up (another waste of time), which I was barely able to get ahold of before they quit shuttling for the day. I kept calling and was almost stuck without a car until the next morning when the shuttle starts running again! And then I had to wait forever to get necessary items out of my van and then another wait in line to get a rental car. I find it terrible customer service that they can't tell me they don't have parts in until after I have spent 3 hours getting my vehicle to them. The reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is that my service guy, Mike, was extremely friendly, apologetic, and helpful. He arranged for me to get a free rental car because the recall is on my airbag and potentially fatal. As an added side bonus, I don't have to bring my van in once they get the back ordered parts -- it's already there!
