| - These guys (George's Alignment and Brake) are life savers. A few months ago I got brake pads installed at "Just Brakes" on Charleston. It was a total nightmare.
After I left "Just Brakes", I noticed I still heard metal on metal squealing. I go back to "Just Brakes"a week or two later thinking the squealing is because my rear brake pads were now going and tell the mechanic. He inspects it and says, no my rear brakes don't have to be replaced because hell save me money and do a clean and adjust on the rear brakes and that should solve the squeaking issue. He also then upsets me on brake fluid (car only has 60,000 miles) saying its very dirty and also does something else - he didn't even look at the front brakes that were installed just a few weeks before hand.
I get my car and leave, sure enough the same metal on metal is sounding and I call "Just Brakes" back. They say, bring it back in, we took it for a test drive and didn't hear anything. So I bring it back in at the next time I had the convenience to go in and the mechanic says it is the brake calipers scraping into the rotors and that I need new rotors, brake calipers and that my control arm was damn near about to brake off and he said if I left the auto shop, I ran the risk of the control arm braking off and I going into oncoming traffic or some horrible accident. He actually said that to me; that'd I'd risk my life not getting the fix right then and there.
I decided not to leave the car in the hands of this "mechanic" and I get a second opinion and inspection of the brake job done here at GEORGES Alignment and brakes. They quickly found out that first of all, they installed the wrong size brake pads in the front. He discovered the wrong size brake pads were scraping into my rotors, causing that metal on metal sound. He fixes the rotors, installs the correct size brake pads and assesses my control arm and the work "Just Brakes" did in the rear. Turns out, control arm has absolutely nothing wrong with it. It also turns out, I have rear brakes that are of a certain type that they can't even have a clean and adjust performed on them, meaning "Just Brakes" charged me for nothing.
Georges took care of me. They understood what happened at "Just Brakes" and were very adamant about finding what they did to my car and diagnosing it correctly. Thanks to them, I shoved the wrong brake pad thing in "Just Brakes" face and they had to concede to a refund on the work they did.
Georges not only did these inspections to assess what Just Brakes did, they gave me the bad brake pads and wrote up a report about the condition of my car, to prove to "Just Brakes" I had a certified mechanic assess their work and statements, which let me get a refund and show them they messed up.
I really can't say enough about the personable customer service and timely fashion of the car repair. Anybody looking for quality car repairs and great personable customer service should be here! 10 stars!
