I recently moved to Old Montreal for work and some coworkers suggested I go there for dinner as it was a block away from my place. I decided to try it yesterday (walked in without a reservation as it was a cold night and it was very early)... It was just me and the host was about to sit me at a table when her coworker suddenly whispered in her ear. She immediately said sorry I have nothing available but you can sit at the bar of you want. I have travelled around the world and I have tried the most prestigious restaurants, I have also dealt with racial profiling on numerous occasions, but this was hands down the worse experience I have ever had to deal with. I don't care how good the food is, everyone deserve to be treated equally. One's race, ethnic, age, or sex should never determine whether or not a person can be seated... Extremely disappointed/angry!
