I went to the champaign brunch both Saturday and Sunday. The food was your standard buffet affair... starches, starches and more starches, a bit of overcooked protein (ham, turkey and roast beef), and sugary deserts.
The only saving grace was the champaign... and they were stingy with that.
I ate alone the first day and I had to stare down the server to get a buzz. The second day I was with a friend who didn't drink so I was able to get my money's worth of grape by doubling up every refill.
The older I get the more I realize that I'd rather just pay for a good meal than unlimited refills of a bad meal.
So, bottom line, only go if you have a tea-totaling friend or desire diabetes within the course of a single meal.
