I stayed at the California again just last night for fun, This particular night it seemed difficult to find parking, but there was no check in line and i was able to check right in which was great. I was greeted with "Yes?" by the Asian male front desk clerk ....."yes?" why does he THINK im there?
Anyway all they had was a Handicapped accessible King room and it was ok, but it showed its age. I called the operator to ask a few questions but again, they seemed bland in personality and when i thanked her for the info she just disconnected the line....no :"you're welcome" or "have a nice day".
It wasnt a bad stay it was enjoyable and i'll be back, but perhaps a little motivation from Management for these employees to be a tad more friendly would really make a difference.
Secret: Try to get an East Tower room if you can.....but i hear the whole place is getting an upgrade soon anyway
