  • 'We don't want your kind anyway' referring to my black friend, and that's enough for me never to go back! First, we went here for a quick lunch, ordered quickly, and sat. We waited for about thirty minutes before our soups arrived. Other tables around us, which had arrived later, had already been served and finishing their main courses. We should have figured something was amiss, so I flagged the waiter. He was dismissive, to my surprise. The elderly female supervisor that she wouldn't help and said the statement above. I asked for the owner. He came, was especially disinterested in the insulting remark we had been handed. To all this he said that we should leave, that it was obvious we weren't wanted there as patrons. I mean seriously! They couldn't have said it when we came in. Food looks decent, I guess; not sure why they changed their name from China Grill to Shanghai Grill.
