  • Skip to the bottom paragraph if you want a quick/easy reason to live here. I drove from Los Angeles & visited apartments for 2 days (moving to Vegas in 3 weeks!!) I don't know why but for some reason Crystal Cove wasn't even in the middle of my list of places to visit. I did thorough research of apartments (crime maps, Trulia, Craigslist, Apartments.com, etc.) and after visiting many places I finally came here. First, I walked in to a GORGEOUS office room. They had just had it redone & I loved the look of it, so now I'm convinced there is no way I can afford to live here. Second, there were THREE people at their desks. THREE!!!! I had been so frustrated by other complexes either being closed on the weekend (WHY?!?!) or no one answering the phone when I called, or calling me back when I left a message, or driving up & seeing a "we'll be back in 1/2 hour sign in the window." But here I walked in & there were THREE people at their desks on a weekend? I was then immediately greeted by Vaughn. This is going to be a long review & I am going to be gushing a lot about Vaughn, he is the BEST! He showed me multiple apartments & explained the differences (upgraded, not upgraded, upstairs, downstairs, etc.) I had 900 questions & he answered every one. By the 2nd apartment I was certain I wanted to live here but was super pessimistic that there were going to be a lot of reasons I couldn't live here. ALL of the other complexes I looked at wanted to charge double pet rent because I have 2 cats. That is insane to me. This place only charges $30/mo for the first pet and $5 for the second. This is the only place (here & in Los Angeles) that I heard of that did that (although I did get a couple to waive the second pet). Second, everything is electric, so no gas bill. Third, water/trash/sewage all for $30/mo. Third, rent was reasonable. I kept prodding Vaughn for the "gotcha" surprise costs. No mandatory cable, no trash valet. No hidden costs. So now I'm thinking the deposits/fees are going to be out of control. NOPE - better than any apartment I looked at. Now I'm sold & Vaughn is my hero & I'm in love. Vaughn puts in all the paperwork & let me know a couple of hours later that I am approved! I just have to wait until Wednesday for the lease to be prepared & I'm in business. I had SOOOO much riding on this. I couldn't put in my notice to my employer until I know I have my lease signed/can't hire movers/can't really do anything & I was planning to move in 3 weeks, my anxiety was through the roof. Cut to Wednesday - Vaughn sent the lease & I docusigned. Everything was super smooth & I worried myself for nothing. But now I'm super scared that the apartment isn't going to be ready (I moved in 2 days after Christmas). Or that I am going to drive up with 2 cats in my car & not be able to get there before they close. Not only did everything go perfect to plan but dear sweet Vaughn actually called me to confirm that I was on my way & assure he would be there to let me in. We did a little last minute paperwork, he gave me my keys and took me through a walkthrough (this is the first time I was seeing the apartment because it wasn't available when I toured). He made sure that EVERYTHING was perfect, he left super thoughtful move in goodies and the apartment was spotless. He made sure everything worked & ensured this process was as smooth as possible. I had so many worries and dear sweet Vaughn ensured that everything went perfectly & calmed my nerves at every turn. So in summary - here is why I love living here (on day 3): Vaughn works here. The office is open 7 full days a week. The office always has people in it (that I've seen so far). They have 24 hour emergency maintenance. The apartment was immaculate when I got here. The apartment price was reasonable & so were the deposits/fees. I have a GARAGE!!!!!!!!! That is my favorite thing ever. I have a large closet in my bathroom - this is my second favorite thing ever. I have a washer/dryer & laundry closet with 4 shelves in the hallway (NOT in the kitchen like in the pictures - none of the apartments I looked at had the laundry in the kitchen). I have a walk in closet in the bedroom. I have a gigantic bathtub! I have a pantry in the kitchen. I have central A/C & heat, a huge enclosed(ish) patio that takes me directly into my garage. I have another outdoor storage in my patio (It doesn't lock but I think it would be good for putting things like a patio broom/etc.) And there are 3 large pools, the BEST gym I saw in my tours, outdoor bbqs, and I have windows & vertical blinds in every room except the bathroom. I have been here for 3 days & I haven't heard a dog bark, people talking, or a peep from my upstairs neighbor. The neighborhood is great & everywhere I could possibly want to shop is 1-3 miles away. I'm thrilled. Thank you again Vaughn you are the best.
