  • On Friday when a mobile auto detailer tried to bait and switch me by quoting me more than double his posted price, I decided to fall back on my old faithful, Terrible Herbst. The back story is: This auto detailed came out to the house said he needed to charge $375 for detailing instead of the $150 posted on his website because of the amount of dog hair in the carpet and explained a deep shampooing was needed to remove it all. To save some cash I took it in to Terrible Herbst. I've been going here for years but in Friday I thought I'd try something different. TH only does carwashes and not detailing, but was able to remove all the dog hair for $27 and a $10 tip! In addition to that they were kind enough to do it with a smile. When you pay for a car wash at the pump you get $0.20/gal off gas and a free fountain drink with the Gold Mine. Best of all the price is what's posted.
