  • This was my first time buying a car on my own, and needless to say, it was not the greatest experience. I decided to take my dad along to show me the ropes. We had an appt. with Michael Freeland who passed us off to Bobby when we arrived. We specifically told Bobby we were just shopping around and wanted to know what their Black Friday deals were. Well that was like pulling teeth and I still don't know what specials they were running for Black Friday. Right off the bat they asked me what I could afford as a monthly payment. We stated that before we give them those numbers, we just wanted to know the total cost of the car first, including any specials. No go. We went back and forth with numbers being thrown around and it was way out of my price range. So Bobby digressed and brought in his manager, a third pass off. This manager was a very fast talking, typical salesman who was now pressuring me into leasing stating he had just performed a Christmas miracle and got me my max price, mind you, on a lease deal. That he was doing me a favor because he was losing money on this deal. That he doesn't need to sell any more cars this month, they've met their quota and his back isn't to the wall. When I told him I was not interested in leasing at all and that I'd just like to get my car key back from the trade in appraisal, he got up, grabbed the numbers paper and crinkled it up very loudly as he was walking out of the cubicle. Handed me my key and didn't even shake our hands as we were leaving. After spending 4 hours at this dealership, I guess I expected a little more respect and courtesy. But as soon as they realized they weren't going to make a sale, we didn't even matter to them. This experience was almost hysterical to me, to see exactly what car salesman do to make a quick buck. SMH. I'd stay away from this dealership if at all possible.
