| - I have been to Frank several times before and have always enjoyed it. This time, however, something was definitely off with the food: my duck breast was nicely cooked, but the foie gras on top of it was not pan-seared as listed in the menu: it was either lightly poached or completely raw, but had never seen the inside of a frying pan. The entire dish was lukewarm, and the side of yams was cold enough that I left it on the plate. The soup special, although quite hearty and full of meat, lacked seasoning. My husband had the halibut on risotto, which he said was good, although I didn't try it.
The restaurant was almost empty on a Saturday evening, but there seemed to be a full complement of staff. The service was excellent. I realize that Frank is not the hot spot that it was when it opened, but sad to see that it has gone downhill.
