  • I've been to hash house before and the food and service were good so that is why I give them 3 stars. I didn't give them a 5 because of the managers lack of skill to handle situations. My family and I are staying in Vegas for the weekend and our hotel gave us vouchers for the hash house at the linq, we figured that one would have a long wait time so we decided to call the one on Sahara and ask them if they accepted them too. The hostess said she would ask the manger, we explained to the hostess that the vouchers were from the Hilton hotels but they included the hash house at the linq. They said they would take them... We got there and sat in separate tables because we were a big party and didn't want to wait long. Service and food were good but when it was time to pay we gave the voucher to the waitress and told her the story. The manager which had said we were fine to use them then came to the table and said they didn't accept them but would only take one from us so I said ok that's fine. Afterwards when our other half of the party was gonna pay the manger got upset because they were trying to use the same vouchers we had received from the hotel. I understood that there was a miscommunication over the phone and they couldn't use them. But the manager ( little manly looking lady) came over with an attitude and treating us like we are trying to play a trick on her and eat without paying. To the manager, first off you probably don't own the place so don't get your panties in a bunch over something that doesn't affect your life. Secondly, a good manager has better communication skills. No one in either party was giving her an attitude or being rude for her to take an aggressive and defensive tone. She told us that she wasn't going to take their voucher and that she was just gonna take ours and that's it! And we told her that's fine. At no time did we give her a hard time or resist to pay. She treated us like we didn't want to pay. My suggestion for this manager is that she should go take some communication classes at a school and to learn how to control her emotions when dealing with customers. She might cause the restaurant to lose more customers. Stay calm next time girl, the way you handle situations shows lack of experience and expertise.
