| - I'll start off by saying I was only a moderate fan of Tom Green when his show was on TV. I knew his "big" stuff, but I didn't watch his show religiously, even though I was big into MTV at the time (RIP 90's MTV). I barely remember seeing Road Trip and I've never seen Freddie Got Fingered. I'm not a huge fan of prank stuff, which is what his show was based a lot on.
With that said, I went into this show not sure what to expect and I set my expectations low. I'm glad to say, though, that the show was better than expected. He's actually a very good comedian and he has a certain wit about him that I think shines in this stand-up comedy routine. He has some poignant but funny topics. I don't think you have to know anything about him to enjoy his show. He shows a few prank clips, but nothing too extensive, which is good because I prefer the comic bit.
If you're looking for him to do a full-on production of the "Bum Bum Song" or for him to recreate eating a mouse, you'll be disappointed. Also, I was surprised he didn't talk too much about his ex-wife (I totally forgot he was married to Drew Barrymore at one point, since he never mentions her name).
There is an opening comic too, who I thought was just okay (2 stars at best). Tom's routine was about an hour if that? If you're a big fan I think you will REALLY enjoy show. If you're a casual fan I still think there's something to enjoy. If you want a big production, though, you might be better off seeing Cirque ;)
Try to sit near the back with the lounge chairs if you can. Those regular seats are kinda uncomfortable. Also, Tom will stay after to get pictures if you wish - no meet and greet package necessary.
