  • This review is a work in progress and I will update as needed, until closing. My "star" selection is based on current activities and experiences, and will change as the process moves forward. And it has definitely been an experience so far. Duncan and Javier have been friendly, attentive, and always available if I have questions. Duncan is a true professional, and makes you feel like a real part of the process. Being able to sit down and see, in person, where me and my wife are in the approval process was very eye opening. I also enjoy getting the animated, personalized emails, describing the current status of our loan, and what we can expect from there. Javier has also bee very professional. He always responds to my questions in a timely manner, and always replies with a "thanks" after I had to send in additional forms during the process. I don't understand the problems some of the reviewers have had on here. My experience has been so positive, that when I got my notice that underwriting was done reviewing my file, all I had to supply was a copy of a divorce decree..which I had filed and readily available. A quick scan into the computer, and boom. It seems people make the process harder on themselves. The house we are purchasing is our 400k DREAMHOUSE...and Academy Mortgage has made us feel like royalty.
