| - Craving a nice steak dinner for Thanksgiving with a coworker, we decided on coming back to triple George, it's been a while since we've been here.
We had made reservations and were promptly seated and shortly after met up with our waiter, Ryan.
Nice guy, drinks were ordered and arrived quickly. They had a special Thanksgiving menu which my coworker ordered from, I chose the regular menu and I noticed some changes.
The steaks looked appealing but the side choices to order from looked dismal.
The choices were roasted asparagus, or mixed mushrooms, French fries etc., I was hoping for something a little along the lines of Mac n cheese, or a "gratin" of some sort, maybe grilled veggies...
I ended up ordering two appetizers as my "sides" instead, the spinach & artichoke dip is really good, served with toasts.
I also would recommend the short rib ravioli, delicious!
My rib eye arrived perfectly rare and seasoned, the carrot and broccoli, unfortunately was a bit cold, I only ate the carrots, and the fries were just fries.
My coworker like her prime rib and deviled eggs. Apple pie was good too.
The customer service here is very good, everyone was friendly and pleasant.
I did show the hostess my Triple George 15% discount from their Yelp page and asked if I could use it, she said "no".
In customer service, you should never use the word "No." especially since it's their own promo and there are no restrictions.
Overall, it didn't ruin my holiday, I had a pleasant time.
I live in downtown Fremont and I often will suggest a couple of other steak houses first.
Let's see if I return here and their "Good" service becomes "Excellent" then, I can add them to my list of recommended steak houses to others.
:)
