At about 6am we were woken up by sounds of water splashing. Our bathroom sink backed up and flooded the bathroom floor. Stuff happens. This resulted in a loss of sleep for us. We had just finished 20 hours of flying before checking in and going to bed around 1am. We also wanted to try that bed-in-breakfast that you order the night before but had to cancel it because of the flooding and repair man being present. He ended up getting us breakfast coupons but to be honest, it's not what we wanted.
We wanted to sleep in, receive breakfast in our room and then check out. I asked if the repair man could just repair it after we check out because we just wanted to get some sleep. The hotel ended up moving us to another floor and allowing us to sleep there while the repair man replaced a plumbing section.
Also, their free shuttle service is ok. It's about a 10-15 min ride on the highway so I don't really consider it that close. There's also nothing near the hotel for restaurants or anything so you're out of luck. Better to eat or buy stuff at the airport before arriving.
I had to go back to the airport at 11pm to pick up the old lady and the reception told me to come down at 1045pm. The shuttle didn't come until 1130...I was a little annoyed because I could have spent that time in the comfort of my bed after flying for 20 hours.
I had dinner at their restaurant. Had the filet mignon, wasn't bad but wasn't anything to be impressed about. The price however, didn't match the expectations of the food. I didn't try another food besides some cocktails.
In my opinion, the Sheraton dropped the ball on service. Didn't get the breakfast we wanted. The shuttle service needs work on communication and logistics.
Next time, I'll spend a little more money and try the Hyatt. It's also much closer to the airport.
