| - Scott Harvey and his team are not only professional and honest, they are also good Samaritans:
I drove to Las Vegas from LA, and about three quarters the way to LV, my car started to shake and the brakes stopped working properly. The next morning, was the 4th of July, and we tried tens of repair shops, and everyone was closed. Finally, we found Scott's shop which was the only shop still operating, and it turned out that he would be closing it at 2 pm, in about 1.5 hours time. We explained that we really did not have any options, and that we needed someone to just have a look at the car to tell us if it was safe to drive back to LA, and we would get repairs done in LA itself.
Scott was kind enough to agree to take time out of his busy schedule to take a look at our car. When we got there, he and his team tested the car thoroughly (and efficiently! it only took 20 minutes), and gave us a written report of what was wrong: I had been braking too much on the highway downhills, and that caused the brake fluid to boil and the brakes to rub too much against the wheels, warping the pads slightly. Basically, we got a detailed explanation, and reassurances that it was safe to drive back to LA, though we should get the pads changed once we got back. He also explained how to drive safely in this situation (I am a novice driver). And he did all this for free! Didn't ask us for a dime. He didn't have to do that. But it really felt like a good samaritan helping out a fellow in need.
All I can say is that this whole thing speaks to his and his team's character, and I would completely trust him with any repairs in the future, and recommend him highly as a competent professional you can trust.
Thank you Scott and team!
