I spent three days in Toronto and visited many of the popular attractions and I must say this brewery visit was my favorite activity. It's just steps away from the CN tower so you can't miss the opportunity. I first heard about Steam Whistle on the Food Network show Food Factory and instantly knew this would merit a visit. I love to see how things are made, this place satisfied my curiosity. I'm not a beer connoisseur but can admire the love these people have for their craft. From the building itself to the people and the way the tour was organized- this is sooo worth the 10$ tour fee.
Whether you're visiting for the tour or not, everyone gets to sample their beer on tap. Then if you take the tour you'll be given a full bottle and more samples at the end along with a choice of glass or bottle opener as souvenir. Takes about 40 mins. Its a very thorough and fun way to see and learn about the history of their brand and product. I'll forever think about Steam Whistle beer in a positive light.
