I had Mr. Riggs as a Family Law Attorney. He was not honest in his initial assessment of our ability to achieve our goals. I would strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for legal representation. Update. He is tightly associated with other Mormon attorneys. If you're on the "outside", you're going to get screwed. He flat told me that he would give me up to keep his association with other Mormon attorneys to keep his "billables" coming in.He literally said, "You have to do what you have to do." The East Valley Family Law community is small. You do what you have to do."
Which meant throwing me and my family under the bus, to keep his church standing in good faith. Steer far away from this lawyer. There is an East Valley Hierarchy of Mormon lawyers. They trade favors with Judges and other lawyers to keep their religious affiliations square within their church. Legal and moral issues take a second seat when Mormon lawyers are concerned. Go elsewhere.
