The Sandwich Spot is a chain that originated in Sacramento, CA. The sandwiches at each location are pretty much the same, but depending on what location you are at the sandwich might have a different name than you are used to. The decor is themed for the different locations also. When I first walked in there was a guy that greeted us and told us a little about the menu and the types of bread they offer. They had 24 sandwiches to choose from and several sounded so good.
Priced at $7.99 I decided to try the "Trifecta" on sourdough. This sandwich had 3 slices of toasted sourdough with bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado. I enjoyed the sandwich. The bacon wasn't fatty and had good flavor and the avocado was fresh. One thing that really stood out was the tomatoes. I don't know where they get them, but the tomatoes tasted like they were just picked from the garden. One disappointment was the sourdough bread not being fully toasted. The bread was only slightly toasted and because of that there wasn't the crunch I look for when biting into a BLT and instead it was mostly soft. Hubby had a sandwich on their "Dutch Crunch" bread and I really liked that, so I will get that bread the next time.
They take phone orders and offer delivery (menu says 5 sandwich minimum for delivery) and also do catering.
