I implore everyone to stay away from this place. The friendliest member of the staff here is Patty who works at the front desk for scheduling. I have been with USAA for over eleven years and they are an awesome insurance company who geared me to come here for an estimate years ago before this most recent experience. Nick used to work here and i remember him from a few years back when i was a victim of a fender bender incident. He was outstanding and the overall process of getting my car estimate and having it taken in for repair was a communicative and effective experience. I recently was involved in another fender bender through no fault of my own and I was introduced to Calvin Phung. He was rude and spoke to me with a condescending tone throughout the whole process of trying to even get a rough preliminary estimate. He made me feel more anxiety when he took a superficial look at my car and overall, he was so rude when I asked him anything in regards to the repair process stating that, "we are so so busy and your car is drivable so it is not priority." I was not happy about that type of response and I definitely let my insurance claims agent know because they work in conjunction with my insurance for military affiliates and families. The experience cost my friends and I 45 minutes of our time to get no help in even scheduling. I had to ask three times for a preliminary estimate on paper to even leave with! Calvin, I have no idea how you were chosen to be the USAA rep for the body shop, but after that experience, I will never come back or recommend this shop to anyone, especially my USAA friends. He showed zero concern for my car and myself who was shaken up about the whole accident, and his lack of customer service skills made me more anxious about the repair process. I even asked when I could take the car in for the estimate and he gave me an 800 number to schedule it?! Patty overheard the whole conversation and offered to schedule me in to get the estimate that I supposedly had to call their service king hotline for? I was beyond let down by this place. I understand body shops are busy, but Patty even informed me when I walked in that Calvin had no appointments in the morning till later afternoon so he could help me. When he walked over to me from the beginning, he made sure to make me feel like I was the lowest priority. Definitely avoid this place. Avoid Calvin if you are a USAA member. Save yourself the trouble of dealing with someone who doesn't care and lacks empathy about the situation. USAA has other options available for body shops if you end up not wanting to deal with this one so explore your other options! I wound up taking my car to a customer service-oriented body shop who took better initiative overall, so explore your other options!
