| - I was happy to be in Las Vegas for the October 31st wedding of my son to his new bride. It was a really nice experience for all involved, and if I may be a little selfish, I was particularly thrilled that I didn't have to dress in Halloween-themed clothing. I feared that my son would ask me to dress like Herman Munster or a Walking Dead character, neither which would be far-fetched if you knew me.
They reserved the terrace gazebo which was upstairs, outside, and surprisingly nice & private (except for the casino-style cameras). A cool feature they offer is the live streaming with sound so that others who couldn't make the happy event were able to witness the ceremony.
Some other highlights:
[1] The staff was very relaxed about letting us knock back champagne while leaning against the limousine. Then again, it's Vegas, baby!
[2] The staff was very polite to an impolite would-be customer that wanted to get married at the walk-up window. The couple-to-be didn't have a wedding license and one seemed to loudly hold that against the Vegas Weddings staff. I, as customary, kept my thoughts to myself, but was tempted to ask the quiet woman if she really wanted to marry such a loud, rude woman. I couldn't restrain myself, though, from asking the staff if they offered walk-up annulment / divorce services, but not within earshot of the couple.
[3] We took advantage of the small club / bar just across the street and enjoyed cocktails & laughs while photos were being taken of the bride & groom.
