So glad a major coffee void is being filled by the new Central Coffee location in Southend. Not that there was a shortage, but there wasn't really a place just dedicated to coffee. I still miss CM but glad to hear they are coming back.
Anywhoo, this new coffee location is off of Camden. The recent construction of new apartments and businesses in this block screamed for this place.
I'm a little biased since I can walk here, but there are a lot of side street parking (for now). Not sure if they will work out a deal with the new parking decks or lots, but I didn't see any signage at the moment.
I walked in this morning and found a clean, space... I noticed a walled room with tables up front left. Assuming that room is for more quiet and or group meetings.... I love that you have be option of noise level and makes for a versatile space.
In the back of the space it is all about serving you. Mind you I have no idea what differentiates coffee machines from each other, but there are plenty here. A large display case of goodies and a menu written on brown butcher paper hung up on the wall.
I went for the quiche (mushroom and Swiss) and it was delicious. The crust, nice and flaky and the staffed heated it up to perfection. And the dark coffee of the day was just as flavorful.
Great overall first impression. I will be back for sure.
