This place is convenient if you have a few hours in between flights, and the instruments they use are clean. But the attitude of the staff (at least the tech I had) could use some cleaning up.
OK: I pick at my finger nails. I KNOW THIS. I explained when I first came in that this was the case, and I just wanted to get my cuticles cleaned up and nails polished so that they wouldn't look so nasty. Still, she continued to make comments about how little she had to work with, and "I guess I will just file whats left". Really? I don't need you to shame me about my nails. Deal with them.
As she was working on one of my hands, I was picking out polish with the other (as she instructed me to do) and I accidentally dropped something. "NOT GOOD WHEN I AM WORKING ON YOUR CUTICLES" she practically yelled. Yes, I know this. It was an accident...does she think I meant to drop something. I really didn't appreciate being treated like a child.
I then asked for her opinion on 4 different polishes. She told me how two were sheer and the other two were sparkly. DUH!!! I can see that. I didn't ask her to explain what they looked like, but rather, her opinion on how they would look on my skin tone. All in all, I got the impression that she just couldn't be bothered with me (even though there were no other customers at the time).
Would I return? Maybe if I had another layover at YYZ and needed a mani desperately, but I would make darn sure that I did not get the same technician.
