| - I recently got a shellac manicure at this salon. I have some good and some bad impressions to share.
I'll start with the good. The owner and the staff are all exceptionally warm, nice and professional. The two ladies who worked on my nails both took great care of me and had admirable attention to detail. I cannot fault them in the least.
However, my shellac manicure did not last even one week. Within two days, multiple nails started chipping and peeling. I went back to the salon and this was fixed, free of charge. I appreciated the free fix and was again impressed with the staff.
However, that same day, multiple other nails (as well as then ones that I had just fixed that day), started peeling and chipping. Today is the 7th day of my manicure and only half my nails look flawless, the rest of them do not look so good (on some fingers, half of the nail polish is gone and its quite noticeable).
Shellac costs more than a regular manicure and is supposed to last for up to 3 weeks. I'd like to point out that I don't wash dishes by hand, work with my hands etc and that there is no reason for my shellac manicure to spoil so quickly. Mine did not last even a week. I can only assume that it is the product that is old or defective, as the service was impeccable.
I would consider going back to this salon for a regular manicure but will not be using the shellac services again.
