This place is definitely a very cool spot off the Strip and a great place to take visitors. Their menu is full of very cool tiki drinks, and the ambiance/mood definitely makes it one of the coolest bars in Las Vegas to take out of towners, or at least visit once. But I wouldn't frequent it often or bring large parties here. It's definitely an experience bar.
My one biggest gripe with TGT is when it's busy, it's a sh--tshow. I've usually been a frequenter when it's not busy but I've been there once when it was busy and the service was left to be desired. But whatever forever, this place is a 702 classic and everyone has off nights.
2nd time visiting on a particularly busy Friday night I was very surprised at how terribly crowded it was due to a private party. The bartender messed up our orders twice, took forever to charge us, and would ignore us for what looked like regulars. Just an okay experience with TGT overall.
