First things first, my stylist was nice, the salon was clean and she did an above average job on my hair. If I was in a pinch I would go back. The services were not extremely expensive for this type of salon. That being said and the reason for 3 stars is because the salon is small and with all the chairs filled, it felt really cramped. There was a lot of chatter back and forth between the stylists, which might be fine for some people, but for me I prefer the stylist to talk to me mostly. I know that sounds nitpicky but the running back and forth between chairs to show each other pictures on their phones and constant chatter between 3/4 women was just a little much. My stylist also left me sitting twice to answer the phone and make appointments during my color. Again just minor annoyances. I also did not care for the parking situation. It's pay to park and apparently the meter maids can be quite strict. So twice (since I have long thick hair) during my appointment, I had to run in the street with my salon cape and crazy foil highlights to pay the meter. But all of these minor annoyances culminated as two and three hours went by. The final clincher was that my appointment was triple booked. Now I know that with my type of hair, the stylist is NOT going to sit and wait for my color to process etc. However, I am paying a decent amount of money and do NOT want to sit and wait for her to color someone else's hair. I don't mind if someone has a men's hair cut or something in between, but twice I was sitting and waiting for her to complete services on someone else and my appointment took almost 4 hours. So overall, I would go back if I was in a dire situation but otherwise I'll travel 6 hours home to see my normal girl in Chicago.
