  • Dear hotels of the world...what I wouldn't give for a nice clean cotton blanket. I cannot be the only one who HATES the down/poly thing sandwiched in sheets. We had the temperature down to 64 and we were still roasting between the thick comforter and the polyester nightmare of a mattress pad that were on the bed. The spare blanket was more of the same, so we were stuck with it. In addition to the roasting issue, the bed was just uncomfortable. I realize it could have been the tossing and turning because I was hot, but the sheets and the mattress pad both came loose. I tried to secure them several times with no success. And one side of the mattress was completely collapsed. All in all, a terrible night's sleep. The location is convenient for hockey games; but next time, I think I'll hoof it a little farther and check out the Doubletree. Or even the Cambria behind the Consol Center.
