  • I arrived in Vegas at midnight and decided to stay in the downtown area for one night before heading to the Strip for the rest of our group vacation. I personally encountered great service from check in to check out and found the room to be adequate for one night. You aren't going to get 5 star accommodations staying here but, then again it's not in that price point. There is a parking lot on the property and if you arrive late like I did you will have to gain access through the buzzer off of the parking lot. I was immediately buzzed in and entered the office where I was greeted by a nice gal. There are tower rooms and poolside rooms and I booked on-line so I didn't get to choose but, the gal offered to switch me to a poolside room. The differences in rooms are the tower rooms are a little more decked out but, at the poolside rooms you can stand on the walkway outside your room and smoke if you like. I opted for a poolside room because I noticed their lounge/nightclub was near the tower rooms and decided the noise was less by the pool. There is an elevator to get to the second floor but, I decided to check the strength of my new suitcase and drag it up the stairs. The room was adequate and without a coffee maker, fridge or normal amenities you would find in higher end rooms but, the bed was extremely comfortable, the tv had a good amount of channels, the ac/heat worked well, the room was clean and the bathroom was remodeled. The down side to the room was that it was facing street side which made for a lot of noise from buses, drunk people and normal car traffic but, I had ear plugs and you could leave the tv on to cut out the noise. Also, there wasn't any closet doors, the bathroom door swings to the right which makes it hard to do your make up in the mirror and the lighting is pretty lack luster. They do give you the wifi password and two vouches for cups of coffee with your room key but, I didn't use either of those items. The pool area is nicely appointed with nice lounge furniture of different types and a decent size pool. This is located about a block and a half from Fremont Street experience and in the morning I walked without a problem down to a doughnut/coffee shop but, you should always be alert of your surroundings. I didn't really see any security/safety problems and if I had, I would have immediately left and checked into another place. The lounge/club attached to the property, as I found out later, is a hot spot for tourists and locals between the ages of 30-50. All in all it was a great place for the price point to rest your head for one or two nights but, I don't know that I would stay here for longer than that.
