  • I stopped in for an IPA at the Ahwatukee location. What they served me was no IPA, it tasted more like some kind of berry beer. I had the bartender sample it and he said without looking me in the eye that it was absolutely an IPA and I should be able to tell by the hoppiness. I explained that I am from Portland (where IPAs reign supreme) and that the beer they are calling an IPA tastes like no IPA I have ever had. The bartender dug his heels in and did not offer another selection. I settled my tab and left. I went to Tukee's to get a proper IPA (Racer) and sat by a former employee who told me that they had changed brewers and their IPA recipe as well. He agreed that what they are putting forth as IPA is a joke and is but one reason why they are doing so poorly. Sad because I really wanted this location to work out.
