I brought my 14 month old son here for the first time this morning. I think I was the first appointment. He needed vaccines. Making the appointment was easy and I faxed in his new patient paper work prior. The office was easy to find and very nice and open inside. They have a well and sick side. Very kid friendly. The make nurse was very kind and took my son's vitals. We liked him a lot. Dr Minuskin was also very kind and thorough. He was not pushy and respected my decision to proceed with an altered vaccine schedule. I am choosing to space the vaccines out. Dr Minuskin understands that I am just trying to do what is best for my son and that, as a parent, we are bombarded by conflicting information regarding vaccines and that leads us to do things like I am. He have me his recommendation for the vaccines today and asked if I wanted to know his advise about how I decided to space the vaccines, sensing that I had made up my mind about before even coming in. I assume he gets a lot of parents who "just don't want to hear it" and would rather save his breath. I told him my plans and he was happy to help me. He did give me some good information about current outbreaks and how to be safe which I appreciated. I felt like we were a team of equally respecting individuals working toward the health and protection of my son. We spoke about other concerns and diet. I really liked the doctor and nurse. The nurse gave his vaccines quickly and skillfully and we made an appointment for other vaccines. I was in and out in 50 minutes with a smile.
