Just learned that the Management/Ownership of this complex has changed hands once again. It is no longer "Little Cottonwoods Apartments" - effective on May 3rd, 2016. It was previously managed by "MEB Management Services". It is now to be managed by "Avenue5 Residential", a management company for properties in the Western United States.
The complex name is changing to "Villa Blanco", also effective on 5/03/16. Lease payments are still going to Little Cottonwoods Apartments. Somewhat strange. You would have thought they would have gotten all their ducks-in-a-row before changing hands.
This will be the 3rd management (ownership?) change since I have lived here. With the last change the entire complex was painted the new tri-color paint scheme that has been so popular the last couple of years in the southwest. And now we change the name to "White Village"? Fingers crossed that we don't have to live through another massive paint fiasco.
We'll see how this new company conducts itself. Do they want long-term satisfied residents, or are they willing to continue to have the large turnover and somewhat iffy reviews? I am currently a "somewhat" satisfied long-time (5 years) resident; but if the list of problems and snafus continue to grow, I too will be looking for a better managed home.
Third management team hopefully will be the charm.
