  • It's an independent book store downtown. AS IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH....they are also super kid-friendly (great selection of children's books, a live rabbit you can pet, toys to play with, welcoming staff). PLUS they host all sorts of workshops and book clubs FOR FREEEEEEEE! I only glanced quickly at the flyers, but they have various writing workshops, puppetry, book clubs, etc, for adults, high schoolers, and kids (down to 5 years old). After the workshops, they even publish little mini-books of high school poetry or kids sci-fi or whatever. I love reading, but I'm typically slave to the Kindle/Amazon. No longer! I will gladly trek downtown to peruse their hand-selected inventory and pick out a new read. What a great place to promote literature in the community. Thank you Writers Block! Oh ps, for locals, they have a deal - buy 10 books get 1 free or something like that.
